Philippa in addition to creating portraits also
produces stylised horses. These are designed on the
basic horse shape but given a clean line.
The
Elgin marbles provided inspiration for the
stylisation of a range of decorative heads.
The 'whiplash' stripes of the zebras, and many of
the features of the faces and necks, are suggestive
of the Art Noveau movement.
Heads can be made in terracotta, white or black clay
with metallic or coloured stripes.
